You're welcome. Thanks for sharing the tips, I'll have to give it a try next time I work with a full figure.

i don't think this works with my hands, the distance from the top of my middle to the tip of my index i like half a centimeter

Mine is 3/4 cm. How big are your hands?

even 3/4 not that big, but i guess if  you're drawing smaller characters.
my hands like 20 cm middle tip to wrist, and 11 cm wide closed flat palm

Then by using this method your character should end up about 16cm tall. I made a tutorial to scale a figure if that's too small:

"The spaces between Creases aren't Equal"
Words that save my life.~* Thank you! I've been throwing myself off because I keep thinking each finger has the same length in between the creases. So my palms end up stretching out and looking grossly emphasized.
Great Tutorial~*

DUDE. That was really helpful. What should if I do if I need a figure that fills a 12" or 14" paper?

Use perspective. Set up your line with the reference points, then the target size a few inches over. Then project a line from the top of your target line to the top of the original line.

Then project a line from the bottom of your target size line to the bottom of your original line. Where they meet, that's your vanishing point.

Now all you have to do is project the rest of the points from the vanishing point to the target line.

Clear enough?

I think I get it. It's been a while since I practiced perspective but no time like the present for a refresher.

Woww, this is soo helpful!
A little confusing at first, because you really need to pay attention to which crease goes where but I guess I'll just have to suck it up and use it.
It's brilliant and I'm surprised no one else has noticed this so far.
Thanks for sharing!
